Animation in Web Design

Adding an animation to your website can be a great way to bring in viewers and add interactive elements to highlight your ideas. Here are a few ways you can achieve that:

Animation programs

Flash– Was popular in the early 200’s for web, cartoon, and even television animation. Flash is a good choice for web developers that want to limit the amount of bandwidth required to load. These can also be interactive animations when the animator creates the steps in a series.

Javascript– After Flash animation there was Javascript, which has mostly been used for dropdown menu animations and navigational elements.

SVG– Similar to Flash it gained popularity in the early 2000’s and allowed users’ to create 2-dimensional animations, but SVG creates vectorized internet animations which are easily scalable without pixelation or loss of resolution.
